Why We Started — and Why It Still Drives Us
Paint Gunners was founded in 2012 with a single conviction: painting in the Pacific Northwest deserved better. Not better paint, specifically — better process. Better preparation. Better accountability from start to finish.
We'd seen too many jobs where homeowners had been promised one thing and delivered another. Rushed prep. Brush-rolled finishes where spray was appropriate. Paint peeling within two seasons because someone skipped the primer. We built Paint Gunners to be the contractor we'd want working on our own homes.
Twelve years later, that foundation hasn't changed. We still spend 40–60% of every exterior project on preparation. We still use commercial-grade spray equipment because rollers can't match the finish quality. We still walk every completed job with the homeowner before we consider it done.
